GBP/USD Automated Trading

Built for
the Cable.

GU Bot is a single-pair MT4/MT5 expert advisor for GBP/USD — the pair traders have nicknamed "the Cable" since the transatlantic telegraph line first linked London and New York. Two years of backtesting. One market. One job.

Mechanism

One pair, traded on repeat.

GU Bot doesn't chase every symbol on your watchlist. Click through the three stages below — this is the actual sequence it runs on GBP/USD.

Reads the Cable

GU Bot scans GBP/USD price action continuously, watching for the specific conditions it was tuned around over two years of testing — nothing borrowed from a generic multi-pair template.

Single-pair focus means every parameter is fit to one instrument's behavior, not averaged across a basket of unrelated markets.

// illustrative pseudocode
input Symbol = "GBPUSD"
input Timeframe = M15

on newCandle() {
  if (setupDetected(GBPUSD)) {
    openBasket(direction, baseLot);
  }
}

Martingale ladder

If a position moves against it, GU Bot steps into a martingale-based recovery sequence — increasing size at defined intervals to bring the basket back to breakeven and beyond.

This is the mechanism behind the backtested returns further down the page — and the thing to understand before running it live. More on sizing in the risk section below.

// illustrative pseudocode
on priceMove(against) {
  if (drawdownStep(against)) {
    nextLot = lastLot * multiplier;
    openBasket(sameDirection, nextLot);
  }
}

Locks and resets

Once a basket closes in profit, the sequence resets to its starting size. No open trade is left to drift indefinitely — every ladder has a defined close condition.

The reset is what lets the same tuned parameters run again on the next setup, instead of compounding risk indefinitely.

// illustrative pseudocode
on basketProfit(target) {
  closeAllBasket();
  resetLotSize(baseLot);
  armNextSetup();
}

Track Record

Two years on the same chart.

Below is an illustrative representation of the backtested equity curve over the ~2-year test window. It's shaped by the real test run, not a hypothetical projection.

Past performance — backtested or live — does not guarantee future results. Markets change; recovery-based strategies carry real drawdown risk (see below).

How the risk actually works

GU Bot uses a martingale-based recovery strategy. That means when a trade moves against it, the EA opens follow-up positions at a larger size to recover the drawdown once price turns back in its favor. This is the mechanism behind the backtested returns above — and it's also the thing you should understand before you run it.

Your drawdown is a function of your account size, not a fixed number. A martingale ladder needs room to run: undercapitalize the account relative to the lot sizing and a losing sequence can hit margin before it recovers. Properly sized, the same sequence has room to work through and reset.

This is why every purchase includes a starting lot-size table and, for the first 20 buyers, a preset built around your specific account size — so you're not guessing at the sizing that keeps the recovery engine inside a safe range for your capital.

LIFETIME LICENSES REMAINING
Why only 100

This isn't a countdown timer. It's a liquidity ceiling.

Martingale recovery sequences trade concentrated size at specific price levels. When a lot of accounts run the same EA, on the same pair, through similar broker liquidity, those recovery entries start clustering — and clustering means worse fills for everyone in the sequence, right when the ladder needs clean execution most.

Capping GU Bot at 100 lifetime licenses keeps that crowding effect out of the picture. It's a ceiling on how many accounts can lean on the same execution window at once — not a marketing gimmick. Once the 100 are sold, the EA closes to new buyers for good.

Questions

Before you buy

Because GU Bot's recovery ladder scales with your balance, the right starting size depends on the lot settings you run. This is exactly what the included sizing table — and the free preset for the first 20 buyers — is built to solve.

No. It's a backtested average from GU Bot's 2-year test window, not a promise. Backtested performance and live performance can differ, and martingale-based systems can produce sequences of losing trades before a recovery closes out.

No — it's a one-time payment for lifetime use on GBP/USD, including future updates to the EA.

Sales close. No new licenses are issued past the cap, for the execution-quality reasons explained above.

37 of 100 licenses remain.
